The process<\/em><\/p>\n

Surely you have heard of the black clay from San Bartolo Coyotepec, I will tell you a little about the process.<\/div>\n
Para realizar el florero Cartuchero, se requiere una enorme habilidad por parte del artesano. Primero se amasa la arcilla hasta que quede lisa y luego se moldea en la forma que tomar\u00e1 la pieza. Una vez moldeado, se seca a la luz del sol durante cuatro d\u00edas, tras los cuales si no es necesario corte, si la pieza es brillante y si no hay manchas, la obra se considera completa. En caso de que la pieza necesite un corte, esto se hace a mano, ya que es un trabajo muy preciso. El efecto brillante se logra puliendo la pieza tambi\u00e9n a mano con cristales de cuarzo. Despu\u00e9s de ser raspado, se deja secar al sol otros d\u00edas. Despu\u00e9s de este tiempo, la pieza se coloca en el horno de le\u00f1a durante un d\u00eda. Es durante este proceso que la cer\u00e1mica negra adquiere su color distintivo. Esta es una forma \u00fanica de adquirir esa coloraci\u00f3n negra, y solo se realiza en San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca.<\/div>\n
