Chiapas diamond cover for 100% cotton cushion embroidered on a backstrap loom by artisans from the Tsotsil community in the Highlands of Chiapas, the technique is diamond-shaped brocade and themes that symbolize the Mayan worldview, let's not forget that the Tsotsiles are a group Mayense.<\/p>\n

Chiapas Legacy<\/em><\/p>\n

The Tsotsiles are a Mayan group related to each other that inhabit the region of Los Altos de Chiapas and some municipalities of the adjoining area.<\/p>\n

The women weave a wide variety of textiles on a backstrap loom, from typical costumes to cushion covers, quilts and table runners with different designs of embroidery with natural threads.<\/p>\n

The Chiapas diamond cover can be washed dry or by hand, without carving or squeezing for its care.<\/p>\n
